The Education Transition Programme (ETP) is a free, fully funded three-week summer programme for Traveller and Roma community members aged 17+ who are interested in returning to education or exploring employment opportunities.
Held on the University of Galway campus from 7–23 July (Tuesday–Thursday, 11am–4pm), the programme combines university taster classes, practical skills training, confidence-building workshops and personal development. Participants who complete the programme will receive a Certificate of Completion.

- IT classes (Beginner & Intermediate)
- Apprenticeship & employment workshops (ESB & Bus Éireann)
- Law and rights workshops
- Traveller history and archives sessions
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Paediatric First Aid (limited places)
- University taster lectures in Engineering, Law, Medicine and Career Development
