A much-loved community radio show is back on the airwaves this January! Community Health Matters, from the West Limerick Primary Healthcare Project for Travellers (West Limerick Resources), is making a welcome return on West Limerick 102fm.
First aired over ten years ago, the programme quickly became a trusted space for open and honest conversations about health and wellbeing for Travellers and the wider community. Now, it is back with fresh voices, engaging interviews, and practical health information that truly matters to everyday life.
Community Health Matters is more than a radio show — it’s a space for shared learning, connection, and support. With strong community roots, the programme continues to celebrate Traveller voices while promoting positive health and wellbeing for all listeners.
The show airs monthly on the first Tuesday of each month after the 11am news. Nationwide listeners can tune in live via the station’s website at www.westlimerick102fm.ie. Topics will include mental wellbeing, healthy living, family and child health, chronic disease prevention, and guidance on accessing local health services.
With its mix of trusted expertise, fresh perspectives, and community-focused discussion, Community Health Matters remains a must-listen for anyone interested in health wellbeing and celebrating Traveller voices across West Limerick and beyond.
